Pros: Ultra compact, 2.5" LCD, 5 megapixels, very fast, user friendly, and ISO 50 sensitivity
Cons: Average battery life, red-eye, chromatic aberration, and noisy ISO 400 images
The Bottom Line: Canon Powershot SD450/Digital IXUS 55 digital camera provides users with a near perfect balance of compact size, tough as nails durability, high speed performance, and super images.

Pros: Huge screen, compact size, weight, looks nice, fast, pleasing photos
Cons: Red eye, not much manual control, low LCD resolution, no substantial improvement over SD400
The Bottom Line: I see not much difference between the SD450 and SD400, aside from the LCD screen size. Even the image quality was very similar. I recommend...

Pros: Small, light, does video/pictures well. Having a small camera means you'll bring it along.
Cons: Red Eye (all compacts have this issue), battery life could be better.
The Bottom Line: Good little camera to take along everywhere to capture pictures/video. Many settings you could control or just leave in auto and shoot away. I would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Great picture quality and a viewfinder option for when screen is not visible
Cons: Only 3x optical zoom and advanced features may take some reading
The Bottom Line: This is a great camera for beginners or photo enthusiasts with great quality pictures and an immense number of features. Also, great battery life!

Pros: Lots! Size. Colors. Ease of use. Battery life.
Cons: Manual mode isn't actually a manual mode. It's a filthy lie!
The Bottom Line: Get it. It's easy to use and makes a good photo. I got one for my mom, who hates all technology.

Pros: Extremely small and lightweight, easy to use, HUGE view screen
Cons: Because of lightweight, non-metal body, camera is fragile and can be broken without care
The Bottom Line: This camera offers all of the features available in larger, more expensive models but is lightweight and has a huge viewing screen. Perfect for the casual photographer

Pros: Bigger screen than the SD 400
Cons: Cannon customer service if broken
The Bottom Line: With the larger screen this should be a small improvement over the SD 400
