Pros: Good Optical Zoom
Up to 37hrs of Video
Priced Well
Easy output
Cons: 800x Digital Zoom
Still Shots at .3 MP
Comes with 60 minute battery
The Bottom Line: For the value, this is a great product. While it's not HD, it will capture the moment just as you remembered (or didn't want to remember) it.=p Recommended

Pros: Data storage capability. 30Gb Hard Disc. No need for additional recording media. Large LCD. Software.
Cons: Easy to learn, but takes time. Included Battery insufficient. Car charger unavailable. Batteries costly.
The Bottom Line: Buy if you plan on making good, long movies and will use often. For occasional use, more basic camcorders can be found for less.

Pros: Compact size, massive hard drive storage, direct and fast access to true digital recordings.
Cons: Poor battery life, problematic ".mod" file format, non tech savvy need not apply.
The Bottom Line: Cutting edge, HDD offers many advantages, but is crippled by JVC's use of USB vs. firewire, and the foolish non standard video format. Tech-savvy operator required for advanced features.

Pros: compact
Cons: software stinks
The Bottom Line: Stay away,It is not a user friendly product. I don't understand why JVC would include software that clearly doesn't work well with the camera.
