Pros: All in one
Cons: Overly complex cartridge system?

I purchased this printer for my wife for Christmas '07 because she wanted an easy way to copy, scan, and print. The software is pretty easy to use and she's been able to do amazing things with our family photos, like print on fabric for her projects. One HUGE problem though is that the printer uses five, yes five cartridges. I don't necessarily have a problem with the quantity, whatever it takes to make a good copy is fine with me. But we continue to get a "U510 Error" for one of those five cartridges. There are too many chances for something to go wrong with the electrical contacts on those cartridges. Canon recommends re-seating the cartridge, which we have done about 50 times so far, and sometimes it work, but mostly it doesn't. Bottom line, if you want a over-engineered printer this is for you, I guess. Maybe its just a defect, but says something about the quality. Oh, and it takes forever to print that first printout...
