Big game comes to little system

Pros: This is one quality game, The original Mario plus extra levels = awesome
Cons: you can't see the whole picture on your tiny game boy screen

The bottom line: Everyone should own this because Mario is a classic and it will never die. This game is better than some of the newer ones out today.

Remember when you played Super Mario Bros. on your old Nintendo Entertainment System? If you do then you'll be right at home playing this game. If you have a Gameboy color then go out and buy this game right away!

This game has all the original NES Mario plus lost levels and loads of special features. The levels on this game are the exact same thing as the ones on the original NES game. Don't forget the sound, I was humming the music from the levels for days after i got this game. The music is just so catchy and you wont turn the volume off on this game.

There are loads of special features on this compact little game pack. I have beaten the original levels and I am now starting the challenge feature. The challenge feature earns the game high marks for re-play value. In the challenge mode you play the same levels but there are objectives you have to meet. The objectives are to get 5 red coins hidden throughout the level, find Yoshi, who is hidden somewhere, and get the high score for that level. These will keep you playing for hours.

Another feature is the vs. game where you can hook up your gameboy to someone elses and race them through levels. This mode is an all out race between Mario and Luigi. Another mode is the You vs. Boo mode where if you meet special conditions in the original 1985 mode this is unlocked.

There is also an album, where as you accomplish different tasks the album will fill up with pictures that you can print if you have the Gameboy printer. The album also contains awards that you win while playing the game which also can be printed.

The last feature is the toy box. The toy box contains a calendar where you can input data into dates and make notes. It contains a fortune teller where you can obtain free lives and fortunes. It also has a function to find out where Yoshi is hiding in the challenge mode.

There is one thing that I personally don't like about the game. The original screen is too big to fit in the Gameboy screen so occasionally you have to use the up and down arrows to see all of the screen. It is a little problem but I got used to it and it's not too bad.

All in all this is a quality game and everyone should have this in their collection. I highly recommend this game.
