The bottom line: Mario Party has always been a game that is funnest when played with others. Get this if you have lots of friends who are ready to play.
Mario Party 6 brought the fun back into the Mario Party Series! With the included Mic it brings even more interactive gameplay to the party! It brings a Solo Mode where 1 player plays to get to the top of the mountain, a Party mode thats best when played with friends, a Minigame mode that lets you practice and play games with friends or yourself without having to go through the whole board, and a new mic mode that allows you to use the bundled microphone in 3 different ways!

The theme for this gane is Night and Day which means the boards can change from dark to light and this can change the board quite a bit.Many of the gameboards in this game are unique which gives the game great replay value. Here are some examples of some of the rules of the gameboards.

1. Normal Mario Party style board where you try to get to the star first and buy it for 20 coins.
2. Steal the other opponents stars by sicking a chain chomp on them by rolling the die.
3. Get to the star space that doesnt move and your allowed to buy as many stars as you can.
4. Get to Donkey Kong to buy the star but at the same time run from Bowser who can steal your stars!
5. Get to the island to grab the star, but once the star is taken the space becomes a bowser star space which steals your star. Timing is key!

One of the funnest new things that Mario Party 6 brings is the Quiz show that uses the microphone. It's like playing a game show and like all things that relate with Mario Party, its BEST to play with 3 other people.

Other then the main ways to play, the game also has an options menu that allows you to unlock certain items in the game such as taunts that can be used by the characters during a party game, and of course new characters such as Toadette.

Some problems that I can think of in this game is the amount of luck needed to play. The winner of the game most likely would be the winner because of luck. There are some spaces on the board that would just kill a veteran player over a beginner like a space that switches ALL stars with another player or a space that makes you lose all your stars. So if your good at the minigames and win them all the time it still doesn't lock your win. The game also grants bonus stars at the end in random categories. These random categories go as far as most times landed on a certain space or most coins one in a mini game.
