Metal Gear Solid the twin snakes is a carefully remade version of the old Metal Gear Solid. When it first came out it was one of my favorite games ever for the Play Station and I played it from my Freshman year up until I turned 21 and it was unique in the aspects it used stealth over brute force. As secret government operative Solid Snake you are sent into an Alaskan base taken over by a special forces operation to defuse their secret nuclear weapon Metal Gear. The graphics have been given a major face lift in this outing. Easily one of the best games ever for the Game Cube and much better then Splinter Cell. What makes this game so thrilling is that there's new graphics, more story line explained, added movies, and a real sense of who the characters really are. The controls are like that of Metal Gear Solid Two dog tags and all. And, Snake is still Snake a tough agent who will kill anyone who stands in the way of his mission.

Story 5/5
The world is at the height of reaching peaceful treaties at least that's what the public assumes. When a new age nuclear weapon is taken over at a secret Alaskan base things change very quickly. Solid Snake is called in from his peaceful life by his friend and former commanding officer Roy Campbell along with several well armed soldiers. The special forces unit is composed of elite operatives all of whom are the ones who ordered the take over of the base.

Excellent controls which seemed a little cramped given the smaller controls of the Game Cube. It plays like a dream reminding me of Metal Gear Solid 2 and one of the best games ever made. An excellent and well made control scheme.

Camera 5/5
Switching in between first and third person view is so amazingly well done that it's just so easy to get lost in the angles. This is one of the best games not worrying about poorly made and executed cheap hits. It makes sense to allow players to get a real feel for the game through the camera.

Nice and awesome they are well done and make the game even better. That's all that can be said.

One of the best Play Station games gets even better with age and a million dollar make over akin to the Six Million dollar man. And, it's one of the best you could ever buy on the Game Cube. Renting doesn't do this game justice buying does.
