Pros: many different challenges
Cons: excessive destruction to the police and city
The bottom line: I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good racing game.

"Need For Speed Carbon" is a fast paced and exciting game. The game begins with you being chased down a canyon. After suffering a horrible crash you are drafted to help another racer gain control of the city. Your goal is to gain territories by winning races and to clear your name. Other racers in the territory suspect you of having tipped off the cops at a major race.
NFSC includes a variety of different races including drafts, circuits, canyons, sprints, and others. In order to master the game one must learn several different driving styles and techniques. This keeps the game interesting even after you have played it for a long time.
The AI is great. It took me a very long time to beat the final boss. The police also strategically stop you. I was amazed when a group of policemen driving SUVs boxed me in and pinned me to a wall. The other racers as well can drive quite intelligently and it requires skill to beat them.
Once you have beaten the races in the city there is still more to do. There is a series of challenges that test your abilities in every aspect of the game, from driving in the canyon to running from cops. Some races in this series are fairly simple but others take quite a bit of practice.
One downside to the game is that they made the draft races too hard. I spent hours trying to win at a draft race and the closest I ever came was third. I am sure that there are some hard core gamers who would disagree but I felt that for the average gamer the draft races were just too hard.
NFSC includes a wide variety of cars that you can earn. You earn the cars both in the campaign and in the challenge series. You can get everything from a mustang to a garbage truck. After you have earned the cars you can then begin to customize. This game provides for being able to create almost any look imaginable. You can also upgrade the performance of your cars to the point that you can even choice how much you back tires will skid in a sharp turn.
NFSC is a game that will not get old quickly. There is a lot to do and you can have fun just driving around town and challenging other racer 1 on 1. The greatest downside to this game is also one of my favorites. I must shamefully say that I loved running from the police and even seeing how many police cars I could "disable."
