Pros: There is no nudity or carnage, so children can watch.
Cons: The fact that this game as made at all is a con.
The bottom line: If you are a fan of the show, look elsewhere for a game. This one will disappoint.
First, if you think this game is for kids, forget it. They will be easily frustrated with the gameplay. The story is boring enough they will likely be lulled into a coma.

The game is only vaguely related to the Spongebob Squarepants show. In fact the only relation is the characters that somewhat resemble those on the show...sometimes. Who ever thought a poorly drawn zombie looking Patrick would make a good game?

The gameplay is basically, jump around a level fighting some bad guys collected some points/parts, etc. Then drive a frustrating race. There is no connection to Bikini Bottom or the story of Spongebob's life. Seems like whoever thought of this game took a video game program off the shelf and slapped Spongebob graphics into it.

The races are horrible, mostly due to the controller. I defy anyone to get Spongebob back to driving a straight line after making a turn. The control is just too sensitive and often becomes confused causing you to turn in a circle...in the opposite direction that you want to.

The levels are not too difficult, which is a good thing. You probably don't want to spend too much time playing in this game with the boring story line.

In short, spend you money elsewhere.
