Pros: Good graphics and fun battling mode ability

The bottom line: Great game if you really like Pokemon battling, but not worth it if you want the extras these type of Pokemon games used to have.
If you are into the battling aspect of Pokemon, then this is a fun game for battling Pokemon on the Wii. This game has great Pokemon graphics. The battling is also a lot of fun with you being able to battle friends using online play instead of having to be together in the same place. The online play also allows you to play random people looking for someone to battle. The sounds for the battling are decent with some fun comments made by the announcer guy. The music in the background, though, gets kind of boring after a while.

In the game you pretty much just have a battledome mode. In the game you start with a trainer card of your six Pokemon team. In order to battle with a different team of Pokemon you must create one using Pokemon you transfer to the Wii from Pokemon Diamond or Peal. You can also get other cards of Pokemon after beating tournaments in the battledome mode.

The variety of modes for this Pokemon Stadium style game stinks, though. There are no mini game or different types of battling modes like those that existed in the Nintendo 64 versions. There is not any kind of adventure mode aspect as was in the Gamecube Pokemon Stadium style games. Basically the Pokemon Stadium games for the consoles have slowly gotten to have less and less features making them less desirable. At least you can still transfer your own Pokemon to play with in the game using the wireless abilities of the DS and Wiis to connect with each other.
