The invasion has begun! The crazy rabbids have captured Rayman and thrown him into a cell. Now he is forced to fight for his life in the arena. Doesn't sound like a fun scenario right? However, it is! It's actually the start of one of the funniest games of the year!

Rayman Raving Rabbids is not a platformer, like Raymans previous games. Instead, it's a collection of minigames, created to make good use of the motion sensitive Wii controller. There are about 75 of these games and they range from shooting plumbers to milking cows. Yes, you heard right. The humor in this game is quite twisted and makes for some serious fun. Everything from the animations of the rabbids to the crazy sounds they make all serve the purpose of making you laugh. A lot.

The single player mode starts out with the arena, as mentioned before. Each round has five parts; three minigames, one dance game and one longer event. The minigames are very varied and can be everything from shaking the remotes to run fast to swinging them to throw things. The dancing game has you hitting rabbids in beat with popular tunes like "Girls just wanna have fun". The bigger games are shooting sequences, where you use the remote to aim and fire plungers at the attacking rabbids while the camera moves automatically. There are also warthog races and a few other bigger games. After completing a set of five, you gain a plunger (and sometimes unlockables like new clothes and songs). When you have enough plungers, you can climb out into the freedom and escape the mad rabbids. It will take some time though, there are many games to play through. Also, playing a game in story mode means unlocking it in score mode. Score mode is the second mode, where you can replay all games in order to gain points, which is used to unlock secrets. In this mode, you can also bring your friends along, which is the most fun part of the whole game. Playing with friends enhance the experience tenfold. In most minigames players take turn to play but there are also a few where you can play at the same time. Even so, just watching other people playing this game is fun. Trying to beat highscores is much more fun than you think. You can even upload your scores to the officiall Raving Rabbids page, by using a code you get after each game.

While the graphics are not pushing the Wii hardware much at all, it still looks very fine and the wonderful design really makes Rayman Raving Rabbids stay out. Every minigame has beautifully crafted backgrounds and environments. Best of all though, is the hilarious animations of the rabbids. Top notch stuff! Music is really good as well, ranging from disco tunes to classical symphonies. And if the graphics won't make you laugh, the sounds will. The noises the rabbids make are really fun and all sound effects suit the game perfectly.

This far, it seems like a perfect game. Isn't there anything bad with Rayman Raving Rabbids? Not really. Sure, everyone won't like every minigame, but that is to be expected in a game with 75 of them. So really, its pretty much a perfect game. Watch out though, you might get sore muscles if you play to much.
