Super Mario Galaxy lives up to Nintendo's most renowned franchise. As soon as you create a profile and begin to play you will notice the best graphics on the Wii as yet. Everything from the details, smoothness of the textures, and the bright colors. Then you begin to play. Galaxy is a platformer just like all the other mainline Mario games. However, this version is in outer space. The 3d environments will blow you away. The controls are very simple and easily accessible by almost anyone of almost any age. The pointer is not used for much except collecting something called star bits and shooting them at your enemies. The nunchuk controls Mario's movements and the motion controls do a number of different things. I have to admit that in later levels it may get too hard for younger children. The game is very long and you will probably not finish this one in one sitting. It is not violent so kids can play this game without their parents having to worry. The co-op is the only part of the game that falls short as the second player is simply a pointer with little function. The boss battles are fun and very typical of a Mario game. Overall, if you own a Wii you should own this game. Almost anyone can have fun with Super Mario Galaxy whether or not you are a fan of the series.
