Sam Fisher is a secret agent sent to save the world from various terrorist plots. In order to accomplish this Sam is sent undercover and poses as a member of a terrorist group known as the JBA. He must gain the trust of the JBA in order to obtain the needed information for his mission, but must be careful to make sure the United States government still trusts him. This proves to be no easy task, as he is almost always faced with the choice of killing all witnesses or having no civilian casualties.

Looking around you can almost always find some sort of item to pick up, hide behind, or climb on. The main idea for success in this game is to be sneaky and remain hidden. You can find dark corners and obstacles to accomplish this most of the time. As with all Splinter Cell titles there are many gadgets to get you through undetected and unharmed. You have various gadgets to incapacitate enemies, like the sticky shocker and airfoil rounds. You can use a special gun to deactivate cameras, lights, and alarms. As always you are given many different pairs of goggles to view all situations easily.

Missions are often times very long, and may take many tries to complete. This combined with the multiple paths of how well each agency trusts you provides long lasting appeal to the game. You can replay each mission many times trying new paths and trying not to be spotted at all.

The controls were not the strong point in the game by far. The camera angle is controlled by aiming and moving the wii remote around. It rotates your view on screen, and often times can go crazy. Character movement is not bad. You move Sam with the joystick, and the further it is moved the faster Sam moves. The nunchuck movement is terrible in this game. Moving upward causes Sam to jump, and this hardly ever works first try. When you are in the corner trying not to be spotted though, even the smallest flick of the nunchuck sends Sam bounding through the air and gets you into trouble. Crouching against walls is another nunchuck movement that happens almost constantly by accident. Shooting is accomplished by aiming the wii remote and pressing a button. This is extremely hard to master, especially with moving enemies who happen to be firing back. Lucky for the user shooting out in the open is actually something your supposed to avoid, so the poor aiming system does not factor in much to the game.

The graphics are pretty smooth in this game. It is not of the playstation 3 caliber, but I was very pleased with them. The environment looks very smooth, and has lots of details. I have seen few major bugs in the game. Even though the camera system is not amazing, it rarely goes into walls or floors, and usually does stay focused on Sam. The glitches seem to have been kept to a minimum in this title.

Overall I was pleased with this game. It lived up to what I expected, and kept me very entertained. I have come to expect weakness in the motion control system, but definitely enjoyed this game. I would not call it the greatest release of the year, but definitely worth buying and playing.
