Pros: Soundtrack, Camera Views, Racing Feel
Cons: Lack of Options, Restrictive Drive Paths, Overall Functionality

The Good :
Accompanied by the most "kick-ass" soundtrack I've heard on a game, Championship Motocross is a decently blended racing game. This game combines challenging tracks, high jumps, and spiffy camera perspectives.
The feel of the game is as close to Motocross as it gets, especially with a rumble pack, large screen television, and a surround sound stereo.
The graphics in this game aren't anything to brag about but the many raceways and varying track conditions tend to make up for that.
It features well thought out bike setup options for each track that are simplified and explained well. It is very easy to custom set each bike for different tracks and conditions.
Another extra this game throws in is riding tricks. I could personally think of some much better tricks for the bikers to perform but the few that are included will keep you interested.
The Bad :
The biggest downfall with Championship Motocross is the complete lack of offroad options. The game forces you to stay on the race track and doesn't even allow you to use the sides of the track to vie for position or perform simple bank climbing/jumping.
I found rider options to be very restrictive also. There are few bikes to choose from, no color changes, no rider changes, clothing changes, nothing. You choose from the few bikes - period.
I also found the functionality of the overall game disappointing. The object of this game is to win the races to become the champion. Whatever happened to just jumping high? jumping long? killer crashes? Hitting the path, opening the throttle, and throwing up some mud? I was expecting "Excite Bike on Steroids." Instead I almost found "Mario Kart does 2 Wheels." (Note: I did say almost.)
The Ugly:
Overall I have to give this game a B-. The soundtrack, the few tricks, the snappy camera angles, and the feel of racing really save this game from the bottom shelf. The limited options, driveability, and lack of functionality are quite disappointing however. But this IS the type of game you can play all year... at least until something better comes along.
