I was pretty impressed at the game itself. I love the car choices my self. and the different race modes.I love that you can paint/add vinals to your cars... thats my favorite thing to do. I wasnt impressed of the no damage thing though. Also, the introduction of a few modern-day muscle cars like the Pontiac GTO and the Ford Mustang GT bring a sense of familiarity from previous games such as Hot Pursuit 2. The graphics of this game put the old Underground to shame. Free Roam is a new edition and allows racers to show off there cars on the streets, search for hidden body shops, and locate and participate in races around "Bayview". The graphics in this game are excellent. The cars all look like their real life counterparts and all of the car body kits and accessories look realistic. The city you drive in is actually pretty well detailed for just being the background of the game.
Overall, the game is a lot of fun, but maybe not challenging enough. In any case, it definitely has its own unique atmosphere. The soundtrack is great. You might expect nothing but rap, but there's actually a pretty good variety of music on there, and all of it fits. It's fun to mod up your cars, and although the performance aspect of the tuning is pretty basic, there's a lot to do with your car's appearance. No racing game collection is complete with this new Underground racing game from EA Games!
