Ratchet and Clank are back and this time they are going commando. After their triumph in Racthet and Clank the pair have become heros and are requested to help the Megacorp in the Bogon galaxy. It seems a theif has stolen a top-secert biological experiment and Abercombie Fizzwidget the leader of Megacorp enlists the heros to get it back. However, as things progess Mr. Fizzwidget doesn't appear to have a handle on things and the thief is not the person Ratchet & Clank think as well in fact as the story unfolds Cpt. Quark begins to figure into the events in the Bogon galaxy. the game play is the same as Racthet & Clank however Insomniac improved the gameplay and added elements that enrich the story(note to game companies this IS how a sequel should be made) among the new elements arena battles, space battles, and the addition of armor. Just like you did in R & C you'll collect weapons, gagets, and skill points. Also, you'll start Going Commando with some of the weapons and gadgets from the first. After you finish the game for the first time you can enter a challenge mode and play the entire game again with different enemies and the ability to purchase more powerful versions of the weapons in the game.
also, this game introduces the ability to upgrade a weapon just by using it. Also, you can upgrade the ship you fly with many things including: missiles, shields, a black hole generator, and others. the story and unfold just like it did in the first game: go to a planet, collect an item, fight a monster, collect info on the next place, and so on until you finish the game.

This game is like its predocessor is one of the best PS2 games; if not one of the best games on the market.
