When I heard there was another Ratchet and Clank game I couldn't wait to play it. I played the previous games and they are fun to play.
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is played on the Playstation 3 consol. It's a one player game, requires at least 510 KB of hard disk space, supported HD video output: 480p, 720p.
The story is about Ratchet, a Lombax orphan of the universe and has never known anything of his Lombax origins. Emperor Tachyon, an alien tyrant-a ruthless Cragmite wants to destroy Ratchet because he has a disliking for the Lombax and he's the last in existence.
Ratchet and Clank has to find and destroy Tachyon and you will fly to many different planet on your quest to find him. Of course it shouldn't be a problem with the awesome weapons and gadgets, devices and armor.
There is use of SIXAXIS feature of the wireless controller in this game. There are times you will have to drop from ships to the ground moving your controller around to dodge things that are trying to hit you. The same with the Robo-Wings and the Geo-Laser.
The Robo-Wings are used in certain areas where Clank uses his Wings. Go back to worlds to find other treasures and hidden golden bolts while flying using SIXAXIS controller.
My favorite Device is the groovitron. Throw it at your enemies and they stopp shooting and start dancing!
In this game you have the bolts you collect that is used for money to purchase weapons/ammo and devices. In this game you also collect Raritanium to actually upgrade your weapons. Your weapons still level up like they always did as you use them but now with Raritanium you can upgrade weapon power, maximum ammo and things like that.
The Arena Battles are back in this game as well. You fight these battles to earn bolts and is a great place to level up and level up your weapons! There are two times you come back here during the game as part of the story and both time will open up new challenges so you won't miss any. The Battle Arena challenges in this game isn't as hard as some were in other games.
Overall it was a pretty good game. It was fun to play, the story is pretty good and the game and story is funny. I'm not sure if this would be a game for kids under age 10 to play because sometimes the controls can be frustrating. The graphics are awesome!! Enjoy!
