Pros: A nostalgic game that brings back memories
Cons: Terrible graphics for a PS3 game, expensive, loading takes forever, hard to maneuver characters
The bottom line: Don't buy it! It is over-hyped and poorly designed.
When they announced that Playstation 3 would be releasing a version of Sonic the Hedgehog, I was extremely excited. As a youngster, I can remember playing Sonic on Sega Genesis. It was one of my favorite games as a child. Naturally, I expected a game of the same caliber or better from PS3. I was sadly disappointed.

I bought this game the first day it came out. My husband and I both tried to suffer through the boring storyline and less than exciting graphics, but we just couldn't torture ourselves. I don't think that either one of us finished this.

The controls for this game were awkward. It was hard to maneuver Sonic and his buddies through the obstacles. The loading time on this was horrendous. You literally were waiting to load more than you were playing. With the high death-rate on this game, it was a great way to waste a few hours.

As all PS3 games are, this cost a pretty penny. If I had any advice for everyone it would be to definately NOT purchase this game. I haven't heard any of my friends who were pleased with it. If you absolutely are intent on playing Sonic, I would suggest renting it ahead of time.
