If you own a PS3 and have internet capabilities, stop reading this article and go buy Warhawk. Warhawk is a game played in third person shooter mode that is only multiplayer - either online, through lan, or console-based. This game has an interesting concept since it is online with the ability to be a soldier, tank, 4x4, turrets, and the Warhawk, an airplane vehicle. There is a multitude of weapons for each option including rocket launchers, binoculars (the best weapon ever! ), and machine guns. Most of the games combat takes place as either a soldier or Warhawk. In general, the Warhawk combat is very complicated since it requires evasive action to avoid missiles that are constantly attacking you and trying to attack new targets. The addition of using the Sixaxis controller to control the any vehicle adds to the difficulty of flying as well as land-based vehicles. I recommend you get good at ground combat before taking to the skies. On the ground, the best weapons are binoculars and rocket launchers. The binoculars can call an artillery strike and obliterate any foe, especially turrets that are attacking your teammates Warhawks. Rocket launchers can track and automatically hit Warhawks or any other vehicles. There are different modes of play like zones, team deathmatch, and capture the flag. The game is based on a point system where each death or capture is given a point value and added to the team score. Another plus is that if you are playing and a friend comes over, he or she can join in whenever. The game has an added ability to join any online game with four people on one console. This adds more fun whenever you want to challenge your friend to an online air dual. The only problem with this game is the lack of single-player. If you lose internet connection or have no friends, this game would totally blow. The graphics in this game are relatively simple. They run at a modest 720p, not the full 1080p of the PS3. Another feature that is lacking is the display. The display is very simple and decreases the visual appeal of the game, but it does make you focus on the actual game. This game has extensive multiplayer that will always be fun and causes one to get lost in the game for hours.
