Pros: lots of weapons options, interesting plot
Cons: limited movement, game does a lot of the work for you
The bottom line: Rent it before you buy, this may not be enough of a challenge.

I purchased ARMY of TWO for Xbox 360 to go with the 42 LCD TV as a birthday gift for my beau. The game looks great on the 42 screen, but on a smaller screen, I think the graphics would be too fuzzy to play the game effectively. Conceptually the game is great!
The Good
You have to play co-operatively. If your partner is the run ahead and do it all type while youre still looking for a briefcase, they are going to get killed. We use it for couples therapy to work on our co-op skills and team work skills for real life. The graphics are good enough and the Sniper effects are incredible! It is wonderful that you can purchase and build your own weapons, and there are many weapons to choose from. There is a plotline for the game that is interesting to follow.
The Not So Good
The scenarios are short, very short. When we completed the game I honestly felt cheated. The game does a lot of the work for you; most disappointingly in the last 30 seconds when it takes over and takes out the bad guy for you. There are a lot of limitations on where you can go in the screens, such as you cannot get onto the rocks to shoot the enemy, but they can get on to shoot you. There are shots that you cannot get off and moves that you cannot make; many of which you will have learned and used in such games as Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3. Because it is not very complicated, it would be a great teaching game for tweens, except that the language is entirely too strong for that age group.
The gameplay itself is basic. Many things that you would want your character to be able to do, even basics such as jumping are not available. Coming off a game like Halo 3, this is very frustrating. There are spots in the game that appear to be open, yet your character will get stuck in there and you basically have to restart from the last checkpoint.
Killing the enemy is ridiculous. Theyre wearing camo pants and tee shirts and yet can take as many as 5 shots before they go down. Meanwhile you take two shots and youre screaming for you partner. Sometimes when you kill an enemy, they drop their ammo, but as you go to the more difficult levels, there is no ammo. Then there is the back to back mode. Youre back to back, shooting with unlimited ammo, and about ¾ of the way through, the back to back kicks out, but youre still running through ammo like crazy, except ammo isnt unlimited anymore. The only notification that the back to back is done is that the tiny words disappear, but typically youre too busy shooting to notice.
I realize that the game seems really bad, but its not. Its simply not challenging. If you want a fun day of Xbox 360 with a friend, this is a great game. But if you want a challenge this isnt the game for you. In addition, please realize that there is a lot of strong language in this game and you may want to avoid playing it around the little ones.
