Pros: EASY set up, fast printing, very small foot print. Print quality is VG to E.
Cons: No manual at all, have to print one. Cartridges pricey.
The bottom line: I would recommend this printer for light to medium home use, the printer cartridge is good for about 1500 pages. It takes up a small foot print and is speedy.

My HP Laser 1100 took the el dumpo after 8 years so I did some research on the laser jets. This one was on my short list and I needed one like NOW and it was available locally at a good price. Icould not be more pleased with the performance, ease of installation, and output quality. It's for home use, maybe 15-20 pages/day max for me. For just the average home user, this printer is a great deal at a reasonable price. It's Vista compatible obviously, however I'm an XP user and the set-up was a 10 minute exercise. This guy prints envelopes, 3x5 cards, and xparencies. A very good deal can be had if you watch the ads and don't forget to get a USB 2.0 cable. Don't ask how I know this.I experienced only a couple 'disappointments': the printer did not come with ANY documentation other than that which was on the CD and secondly, the printer is just a tad noisey, but not a big deal. There was not even a card showing the installation procedure, however it was still pretty easy. I did print out the user manual which has come in handy for printing out a demo page to check print quality or running the 'printer cleaning' process page. In summary, a good printer at a good price = a good value. Hope this helps.
