Pros: Does many kitchen tasks like blending right in a soup pot or whisking.

Cons: Doesn't chop ice or make good smoothies.

The Bottom Line: While the smoothie and chopped ice enthusiast still will require a pitcher blender, this tool nearly does it all in the kitchen.

Pros: Worth more than it's weight in cooking power. Is versatile, and takes up little space.

Cons: Doesn't chop ice

The Bottom Line: I love this appliance and couldn't survive cooking without one and would suggest this for almost any kitchen.
