The behemothic devil of all phones.

Pros: Pure awesome, and that's coming from a man who hates cells.
Cons: Button traces on the screen. Service plans cost too much. 200 bucks.

The bottom line: Great phone for the business people in other countries or for students like me. Still, the phone service companies suck.

This colossal phone has made me buy it as my first cell. I never wanted a cell in the first place because of the service prices per month. But with such an immense phone, how can one not be happy with their purchase?

Things happen here and there which made me buy my first cell against my better judgment. I did, however, get the pre-paid plan from T-mobile. It's a lot cheaper and it's there for my needs if I'm ever stuck somewhere or I'm out and some one needs to get a hold of me. The prices for the pre-paid is also a bit high, but I happen to really need a cell now since I'm 20, in college, and working. The cheapest pre-paid card is the 10 dollars for 30 minutes a month which I find really expensive for such low minutes. On the other hand, It came with 55 dollars worth of 55 minutes of air time already installed.

I bought this phone a week ago from HSN and just received it today. The phone came already packaged with the SIM card installed and batteries half charged. They also gave me my phone number written down on a piece of paper, and everything was done straight from the store. That's what I call customer service.

The phone came packaged with the sticky clear plastic to keep stuff from scratching it's black finish. The phone came with a charger and a hands free device. It did not however come with the Motorola Phone Tools. The program one needs to access features on the phone from your computer; things like making your own ring tones and wallpapers for your phone.

I did however received a copy of this software and got to try out those features. The fact that you can use your own ring tones you make is just wonderful. Who really buys their music from the phone's site? Well, I sure don't know anyone who does. The phone's specifics state that it can use MP3s/24 chords. I do not know for sure what the 24 chords is, but I do know it's not as good as the 40 chord phones. The funny thing that I ended up putting as my ring tone is a remixed song I did on the game Metal Gear Solid 2's theme song. Not only does snake talk in my ring tone, but he asks if, "I'm there" before it replays.

The wallpaper feature on the phone supports 176x220 pixels which Is a pretty nice resolution for something so small. I ended up Photoshoping a picture of my favorite demon girl to fit on it. Now the phone doesn't just sound awesome-It looks and sounds awesome with spunk! I did not, however, figure out how to have a separate picture for the miniature LCD screen on the front which displays 4096 colors (STN)in a 98 x 64 px environment, but it just resizes the main wallpaper to that size. That not only messes up with the image but as mine is black and white to match with the silver theme I put and black phone, it's very hard to see without looking really close.

The phone, when opened, is a lot bigger then most cell phones, but what makes up for it is the slimness it creates when it's folded. This not only looks cool, but helps me since I work in a fast environment that of a bulky phone would probably smash into something and end up damaging it. The slick looks like it would be easily destroyable, but on the other hand, it's really sturdy.

The phone has a lot of buttons, even on the side of the flip part. The buttons on the phone's keypad are surrounded by a rubber fitting that separates the keys from accidental pressing. This rubber part collects dirt or oil from your fingers which is bad because when you close the phone, the screen touches it. This not only leaves an impression of the button layout on the finely made screen, but after a while, they're pretty hard to get off the screen with just a napkin or clothing.

The phone came with 2 games, but that's ok, I don't plan on playing games on the phone anyways. There is however one thing I stumbled upon online which had free games and software for the Motorola Black Razr V3 phones. I found this really nice classic type of game for free. I don't remember the name of the game, but it's like the old school air plane shooters; you know, the kind that you fly forward and you can't stop with tons of bullets from enemies flying at you. I find this interesting and got it, but the phone however does have a limit.

It only has 5.5mbs of memory which to me, isn't a lot at all. Too bad they didn't add a feature to this phone that one can insert an SD memory card for extra storage. It has the feature to record videos as well as take tons of pictures. I do not see how this is possible with only 5.5mbs of memory. I believe that's just a hoax until I try it out for my self.

The phone is fast at recharging it's batteries, but also has a smaller amount of talk time compared to other phones. But then again, I don't really care for that since I'm not a business man, or what not.

In total, this phone dominates all phones in my opinion. Open it up and stand it next to another cell, and it will hide it in it's shade, like death has came to take the other phone away. Which is ironic because it's black as well. Blue tooth will come in handy for those that need it and for those that do not have the USB adapter cord nor the software, but have a PC ready with blue tooth or a blue tooth device on their PC.
